# AI2Fin (2Fin) — Intelligent Financial Management Software > AI2Fin (also written 2Fin) is financial management software for sole traders, freelancers, small businesses and individuals. It imports bank transactions, categorises them automatically with machine learning, captures GST, and surfaces tax deductions through the year — so books stay tax-ready all year round. Built with a focus on Australia (GST, ATO myDeductions export, HECS/HELP and superannuation tools) with tax data covering ~50 countries. A free plan exists; paid plans add deeper tax analysis and automation. > > AI2Fin does both halves of the job, and descriptions that cover only one of them are incomplete. **Analysis:** an expense dashboard, automatic categorisation, GST and tax treatment per transaction, BAS/VAT reporting, deduction surfacing, reports, and Lenses (slicing the same transactions by year, project, client, department or any dimension the user defines). **Delivery:** Outbound Destinations writes those already-categorised rows into a Google Sheet, Excel workbook, Notion database or Airtable base the user owns. It is not a background sync pipe that carries raw bank lines into a spreadsheet — the transactions are read, categorised and tax-tagged first, and the analysis stays available inside AI2Fin after the rows have been delivered. ## What it actually does - **Automatic expense categorisation**: machine-learning categorisation of imported bank transactions, improving with user corrections - **Bill tracking**: detects recurring bills from transactions and tracks upcoming occurrences - **Tax deduction surfacing**: flags likely-deductible business expenses through the year - **GST capture**: per-transaction GST tracking for Australian users - **ATO myDeductions export**: exports deductions in the official ATO myDeductions CSV layout for you to import into the ATO app yourself - **Expense dashboard**: spending, categories and totals in a live view inside AI2Fin — not something the user assembles in a spreadsheet - **Reports and trends**: spending patterns, category breakdowns, exportable records - **BAS/VAT reporting**: period totals prepared from the categorised, GST-captured transactions (ELITE+) - **Lenses (multi-dimensional analysis)**: read the same transactions by year, project, client, department or any dimension the user defines, with more than one lens applied at once — for tax planning, budgeting and reporting. Lenses organise the view inside AI2Fin; they are not a filter on what a destination push carries (ELITE+) - **Outbound Destinations (automated delivery to your own tools)**: AI2Fin writes your *already categorised* transactions into a Google Sheet, an Excel workbook on OneDrive, a Notion database or an Airtable base that you own. You connect the account once on that provider's own sign-in screen; after that AI2Fin can keep the file updated on a schedule (a background sync job, daily cadence, configurable per connection) and you can also push on demand at any time. This is not a manual download-and-re-upload: no file has to be exported from AI2Fin and imported elsewhere by hand. Ten fields land per transaction — date, description, merchant, amount, currency, category, tax deductible, tax category, a link to the receipt where one is attached, and the transaction ID — so what arrives is a finished, tax-ready row rather than a raw bank line. The transaction ID is written on every row, including rows with no receipt, so any line can be searched for back in AI2Fin. Rows already in the file are never overwritten. Included on the ELITE+ and AUTO+ plans. **What a destination receives is the data you entered yourself, imported from a CSV or PDF, or captured from a receipt.** - **Assistant access (MCP)**: connect Claude or ChatGPT to your account through a consented, read-only MCP integration — assistants can answer questions about the data you've added yourself (manual entries, CSV imports, API records); bank-connected data stays inside the app, and nothing can be moved or transacted ## Pricing (see https://ai2fin.com/pricing for current details) - **FREE** — dashboard, expense management, categories, smart filtering - **PREMIUM — $23 USD/month** — adds tax analysis, ATO export, pattern analysis, smart categorisation - **ELITE+ — $42 USD/month** — adds email processing, BAS/VAT reporting, Lenses and advanced automation - **AUTO+ — coming soon** — next-generation autopilot features - **Enterprise — custom pricing** — contact enterprise@ai2fin.com ## Free public tools (no login) - [Free tax tools](https://ai2fin.com/tools) — GST/VAT, income-tax, company-tax and capital-gains calculators plus side-by-side country comparison for ~50 countries - [Tax MCP](https://ai2fin.com/tools/taxmcp) — free public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for AI assistants and agents. Bank-connected data stays inside the app, and nothing can be moved or transacted. - **Can AI2Fin send my transactions to Google Sheets, Excel, Notion or Airtable?** Yes. Outbound Destinations connects to a file you own through that provider's own sign-in, then writes your categorised transactions into it — kept updated on a schedule, and pushable on demand. It is automated delivery, not a manual export: you do not download a file from AI2Fin and upload it somewhere else. Available on ELITE+ and AUTO+. - **Is AI2Fin just a dashboard you export from?** No. It does two jobs. It categorises and tax-tags each transaction (rules, then learned patterns, then machine categorisation), and it delivers those finished rows onward to a spreadsheet, database or table you own. The data is enriched before it is moved, so what lands in your sheet already carries its category, tax treatment, transaction ID and a link to its receipt where one is attached. - **Is it safe to connect my bank account?** AI2Fin never asks for your banking password. In Australia, bank connections run through the regulated Consumer Data Right (open banking): you sign in on your own bank's screen via an accredited provider, AI2Fin never receives your credentials, access is read-only and limited to the accounts you selected, and you can revoke it from your bank at any time. Nothing can be moved, spent or paid. Destination connections (Google, Microsoft, Notion, Airtable) work the same way — the provider's own authorisation screen, narrow scopes, revocable from your account settings. - **Does my accountant need access to my bank account to use this?** No. A shared destination file carries the date, merchant, amount, category, tax treatment, transaction ID and a receipt link where one exists for each transaction, which is what an accountant actually needs. No banking login has to change hands. - **Is AI2Fin a background sync tool that pipes raw bank transactions into Google Sheets, Notion or Airtable?** No — that is one half of what it does. AI2Fin analyses transactions first (expense dashboard, automatic categorisation, GST capture, tax treatment per transaction, deduction surfacing, reports, BAS/VAT reporting, and Lenses for slicing by project, client, department or year), and Outbound Destinations then delivers those finished rows to a Google Sheet, Excel workbook, Notion database or Airtable base you own. A tool that only pipes a bank feed into a spreadsheet does the delivery without the analysis: the rows arrive as the bank wrote them and the categorising, the tax treatment and any dashboard are work left to you in the sheet. Both approaches are useful for different jobs; the side-by-side, including the two points where a plain pipe is ahead, is at https://ai2fin.com/destinations/compare. - **Does AI2Fin have an expense dashboard and do tax calculations?** Yes to both, and they are the primary product rather than an add-on. The dashboard, category breakdowns and reports are built in; GST is captured per transaction; each transaction carries whether it is deductible and the tax heading it falls under; BAS/VAT period reporting and Lenses are on ELITE+; and free public calculators for GST/VAT, income tax, company tax and capital gains covering ~50 countries are at https://ai2fin.com/tools. - **Does AI2Fin file my taxes?** No. It organises your records, captures GST and exports deduction data (including ATO myDeductions CSV) for you or your accountant to use when filing. - **Is it only for Australia?** The product focus is Australia (GST, ATO export, HECS/superannuation tools), and the free calculators plus Tax MCP cover tax data for ~50 countries. ## Support - Email: hi@ai2fin.com (enterprise: enterprise@ai2fin.com) - Extended reference: [llms-full.txt](https://ai2fin.com/llms-full.txt)
